I love shooting portraits, and my favorite time of day for beautiful light is usually early in the morning after sunrise or in the evening just before sunset. Your portrait session can take place in a variety of locations. If you're unsure of where you'd like your portraits done, we can talk more about what you're looking for in your photos and decide on a spot together. These sessions usually last around one hour.
"Erica is extremely talented and creative. She has a way of capturing genuine emotion, resulting in photos that feel real and never posed. We had a great time at our photoshoot and couldn’t be happier with the results."

As a mom myself, I know very well what it’s like to choose a location, plan outfits, and then pray
for happy kids and no illness when photo time rolls around. Truth bomb: as we all got into the car
to do our own photos last August, I said to my husband, “I’m already over this.”
So yeah, I know, it’s a lot of work to get everyone ready. That’s why I make the process as painless
as possible for you. Prior to your session, I’ll scout out the perfect location and figure out the best
time of day for your session. I’ll share tips for dressing yourself and your family that will be
flattering, look good in your photos and keep the kids happy. I am happy to provide specific
feedback for you on the outfits you select.
When photo time rolls around, it will be fun. We’ll play. We’ll laugh. We’ll move. It’ll be like we’re
just hanging out, and you’ll end up with some fabulous photos that document the whole thing.
My goal is to create an easy, lighthearted photo experience for your family. I want you to enjoy the
time you spend together in front of my camera so that you can walk away not only with memories
of the good time you had, but with real and meaningful images you’ll cherish and display in your
home for years to come.
Family sessions are flexible but can be up to one hour long at the location of your choosing.

I provide personalized styling advice for every family member prior to your session, feedback on the outfits you select or help with selecting outfits from the clothing you already have, personalized location suggestions and location scouting based on the look you want for your images. There is a lot of planning and thought that goes into your session before it even happens.
When you hire me as a professional family photographer, you’re not just getting someone who can work a camera but someone who can work WITH the crazy and show how beautiful it really is.
In fact, that’s one of the reasons I love photographing children. They show up completely themselves. Some may be silly, some may be more reserved, some may want to move for the entire session - my job is to work with that and to harness whatever energy they bring to produce meaningful images for you that are true to WHO those kids are.
So, please don’t worry about your kids being kids. They’re just doing their job, and I promise to do mine, too.
